William Clyde Carlisle, 79, of Mill Branch Road, NW, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, in the Brunswick Community Hospital. Mr. Carlisle was a son of the late Lennox Daniel and Bessie E . Carlisle.

He retired from Federal Paper Co. in 1984 and he and his wife Juanita, spent a great deal of time at their home on Black River where he devoted so much of his efforts to his yard.

In addition to his wife, Juanita Long Carlisle, he is survived by a son, Dean Carlisle of Wilmington, NC, and a daughter, Lynn Carlisle of Ash,NC, three special grandchildren, Deana, Katrina and Richie; and three special great-grandchildren, Alexis, Trenity and Destiny. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, two of which, George White and Billy Moore, were very special, along with friends, Randy Milligan and Garfield Hurst.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Holy Light Church, Ash, NC, with the Rev. Maurice Milligan and the Rev. Regan Mintz. Burial will be in the Griffin Cemetery, Ash.

Pallbearers will be Major White, Richie Danford, Terry White, Larry Faircloth, Paul Clewis and Roland Patterson.

Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. William Faircloth. The family willreceive friends at the resi dence, 5104 Mill Branch Road, NW, Ash, NC.
