Henry H. Roberts, 82, died July 4, 2004, at Brakebill Nursing Home in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a resident of Knoxville, Tenn.
He was born July 3, 1922. His parents were Wiley Jackson and Angeline (Brown) Roberts. He married Mary Kay (Poe) Roberts, formerly of Franklin. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Joyce Garmeson of Alcoa, Tenn.; two sons, William "Bill" Roberts of Greer, S.C., and Jeff Roberts of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Charles Roberts of Maryville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He attended Maryville College for two years and graduated from University of Tennessee with a degree in marketing.
He was employed as an automobile dealer and salesman at several dealerships for 50 years.
He was a member of West Hills Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a past president of the Chamber of Commerce in Blount County, Tenn., and Maryville Kiwanis and past chairman of the United Way. He won several awards in the automobile industry.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
A service was conducted July 6 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel in Maryville, Tenn. A military graveside service was conducted Wednesday at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville.
