OBITUARY: Boonville, Indiana Enquirer - August 18, 1939:
Mrs. Nellie B. Allen, 55, wife of Charles M. Allen, died at 6:45 o'clock Sunday night at the home five miles north of Boonville after a long illness. Other survivors are two sons, Robert and Raymond; a daughter, Ruth; the father, Robert Stewart, Terre Haute; three brothers, Clyde and Glenn Stewart, Terre Haute, and Carl of Salem, and a sister, Mrs. Fern Cody of Tell City. Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion church at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in the church cemetery.
