Fred Lee Holder
(January 17, 1928 - July 2, 2009)




Fred Lee Holder, age 81, of Maryville, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, peacefully entered the Kingdom of Heaven, July 2, 2009. He was retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 year club, a retired farmer, and school bus owner and operator for the Blount County Schools. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Netta Holder; father in law and mother in law, Jim and Zoe Rhyne; brothers, Edward Holder, and Dr. Tom Holder; sister, Irene McSpadden and daughter in law, Sheila Holder. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margaret Holder; sons and daughters in law, Kenny and Wanda Holder, Larry and Marie Holder; grandchildren, Leah and Jeff Smith, Cristy and Kent West, Talia Holder, Erin and Bryan Hitchcock, and Tiffany Holder and great grandchildren, Tristin Holder and Colton Hitchcock; brother, Bobby and wife, Christine Holder, sisters, Marie Leatherwood and husband, Harold, Delores Chambers and husband, Bob of Quincy, California; sisters in law, Wilma Holder, and Lynn Holder; and special family friend, Rose Braden. A special thank you to Blount Memorial Hospital, 4th floor north nurses and doctors. The funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Lester Allmon and Rev. Alvin Patton Officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery for the graveside service and interment.
