She was the daughter of Frederick R. Bunker and Sarah Fish Bunker, married to David D. Rose of Corning, NY, and mother of Robert Bunker Rose. While visiting her family in Bloomington she attempted to save a child who had fallen into the water. She saved the child but developed pneumonia and died at the age of 23. On the reverse of her portrait it says she was "buried under the big tree on the Bunker homestead", which is now Bloomington Cemetery.
