Annie was born in Hull, Lancashire, England. She met and married Percy Vivian Dawe before 1912. He studied for the ministry at Hartley College in Manchester. Shortly after their marriage, the couple emigrated to the US where they originally settled in Union City, southeast of Battle Creek, MI. Percy was ordained a Congregational minister there and their oldest child - a girl - was born. They moved on to St. Joseph where Percy pastored a church for many years. Their other two children were born there.
By 1930, the family had moved to Cadillac where Percy again pastored a church for a long time. Their son Richard J. joined the armed services in WWII and was reported MIA.
Annie may have died by then. She was buried in Cadillac cemetery. Her husband was buried beside her in 1967. There may also be a memorial to their son.
