He died in 1932 in St. Petersburg, Florida where he spent his winters.

Isaac N. Bushong, 76, former Toledo business man and capitalist, died late Saturday in St. Petersburg, Florida. With him at the time of his death were his wife and son, Paul. His two daughters, Mrs George Vradenburg and Mrs. Carleton E. Reade hurried to Florida upon the news of their father's serious illness. For the last few years, Mr. Bushong, retired from active business, had resided in Gladstone, Michigan. He had extensive lumber interests in Michigan. He was the silent partner in many Toledo industries such as the Toledo Seed and Oil Company, East Side Iron Elevator Company, Toledo Machine and Tool Company, The Commerce Guardian Bank, Toledo Lumber and Mill Work Company, and many other companies and had a large part in the up-building of early Toledo. Mr. Bushong was born in Columbus Grove, Ohio, where a brother, Thomas W. lives. Services will be held probably Wednesday in the home at Gladstone. Burial will be in Leispic, Ohio.
