Funeral for Freeman L. Norwood, 75, of Somerville will be Thursday at 10 AM at Rideout's Brown Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Maxwell and the Rev. Sandra Locke-Godbee officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Norwood died Monday, December 9, 1996, at his home. He was born may May 20, 1921 in Lawrence County. A World War II veteran, he was a member of Priceville United Methodist Church and United Methodist Men.

He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Norwood; one daughter, Lynda French of Somerville; two brothers, Grady Norwood of Decatur and Robert Norwood of Lawrence County; three sisters, Mallie Letson of Moulton and Audrey Terry and Ora Terry, both of Lawrence County; and one grandson.

Pallbearers will be Daryl Smith, Ken Bowling, Clarence White, Neal Norwood, Tim Bowling and David Bethea.

United Methodist men will be honorary pallbearers.
