Mr. Hickock died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at his home.
He was born Aug. 23, 1928, in Lawrence, the son of Joseph L. and Lila Mae (Hulce) Hickock. He attended Lawrence schools.
Mr. Hickock served in the U.S. Army in 1951-52. He was an auto body repairman at Shipman Winter and worked at Carey's Appliance Store. He was custodial supervisor at Central Junior High School until he retired in 1993.
He married Charline Scribner on Aug. 6, 1955, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Linda Sloan, Lawrence; a son, Joseph, Lawrence; a sister, Jean Lucas, Freeport, Fla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
An infant daughter, Laura Jean Hickock, died earlier.
