BRECKENRIDGE -- Truman Conner "Jack" Fambro, age 86, died Friday, October 28, 2005. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2005 at the First Baptist Church with Reverend Cecil Harper and Charles Kuhn officiating with burial in the Wayland Cemetery under the direction of Melton - Kitchens Funeral Home. He was born August 2, 1919 in Wayland, Texas to parents Truman Conner Fambro and Chloe Clementine Sikes Fambro. He married Maxine Taylor on December 14, 1946 in Breckenridge. She preceded him in death on October 14, 2002. He was a rancher, a member of the First Baptist Church, a U. S. Army veteran of WW II. He was also a member of the Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, Texas Sheep & Goat Raisers Association, American Quarter Horse Association, Stephens Memorial Hospital Board of Directors, Wichita Falls Production Credit Association and on the Board of Directors of the Clear Fork of the Brazos S. W. C. D., and a charter trustee of Stephens County Ag. Association. He was a past commander of the Breckenridge V. F. W. Post. He was a recipient of the 4 H Volunteer Service Award to Stephens County 1950 - 1970. He was Rancher of the year in 1992. Lower Clear Fork of the Brazos S. W. C. D. He was the first President of the 4 H Leaders Association of Texas from 1976 - 1978. He had 20 years of service to the Chamber of Commerce - Young Rural Citizen's of Stephens County. He was active in the Variety Society 4 H, Little League, Junior Rodeo, Stephens County Junior Livestock Show and F. F. A. Honor Chapter Farmer. He is survived by three sons: Mark Fambro and wife, Glenna; Kent Fambro, and Neil Conner Fambro and wife, Tracey, all of Breckenridge. Two brothers: Skeet Fambro and wife, Rosemary; Bugs Fambro and wife, Nancy, all of Strawn. Grandchildren: Marka Castillo and husband, Jason; Christopher Fambro and wife, Christi; Luke Fambro, Mathew Fambro, Travis Conner Fambro, Cade Sullivan, Kelby Sullivan, Taylor Fambro, Kyle Fambro, Nicole Fambro and Ashly Fambro. Great Grandchildren: Jaxon Fambro and Zeke Castillo, and nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two sons, William Carl Fambro and Dr. Dan Fambro and his parents. Memorials may be made to Stephens Memorial Hospital, Hendrick Hospice Care of to the donor's favorite charity and may be left at Melton - Kitchens Funeral Home.
