BRECKENRIDGE, Feb 21, (RNS) - Mrs. Mary Emma Fambrough, 91-year-old native of Texas and the past 6_ years a resident of Stephens County, died at her home here at 3 a.m. Tuesday after a lengthy illness. She had been confined to an invalid chair since she suffered a broken hip in 19__. Funeral services have been set for 3 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Truman Aldredge, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Wayland Cemetery in southern Stephens County. Kiker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Sam Taylor, Dalton Williams, Walter Clift, Robert Braley, Jim Crowley and Archie Satterwhite. Mrs. Fambrough was born in Rusk County April 8, 1959. She lived there until early ____ at which time she moved with her family to StTephens County. She and her husband, D. G. Fambrough, pioneered Stephens County long before the appearance of the first railroad. In their move to West Texas, she rode the T_P train to Weatherford, the end of the line then, and came overland the remainder of the trip. Mr. Fambrough died in Stephens County in 1896. With the exception of a few years spent in Raymondville, she spent all her life in this county since 1881. Three of their nine living children reside here. They are Carl Fambrough, Misses Kate and Emma Fambrough. Other children are David Fambrough, Cisco; R. I. Fambrough, Fort Worth; A. C. Fambrough, Lytle, Texas; H. G. Fambrough, Forth Worth; A. C. FamGown (??), Cleburne and Mrs. L. M. Strapp, Altus, Okla. There are 22(?) grandchildren; 41 great grand children and three great great grandchildren.
