Ralph Byron "Barney" RIFFLE Sr., 57, of 810 E. 10th St., died at 10:26 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Hospital shortly after arrival. He had been in failing health for six months, but death was unexpected. He was born Nov. 1, 1932 in Monroe,Mich., to Henry and Alice RIFFLE, who preceded in death. He moved here 40 years ago from Missouri. He was married July 19, 1953 in Rochester to Janet Sue MILLER, who survives. He was a truck driver and a farmer. Surviving with the wife are two daughters, Mrs. Rick (Kelly) WALTERS, Orange City, Fla., and Mrs. Brian (Kerry) NELSON, Rochester; two sons, Ralph Byron "Barney" RIFFLE Jr., Rochester, and Jacob "Hank" RIFFLE, Akron; a foster-son, Kevin JENKINS, Rochester; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Jack (Audrey) NUNLEY, Rochester; Mrs. John (Shirley) BROOKINS, Plymouth, and Mrs. Robert (Lillian) PORTER, Byrdstown, Tenn.; three brothers, Eugene [RIFFLE], Lake Station; James [RIFFLE], Harrisonville, Mo., and Douglas [RIFFLE], Lake Elsinore, Calif., and nieces and nephews. A brother preceded in death. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Carl RICKS officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
