Born in Jackson Parish, the deceased moved to Winn Parish at an early age with his parents, and for the past 38 years has made his home in Winnfield. At the time of his death he was a retired carpenter and building contractor.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Nellie Durham Richardson, five sons, Eugene, Lloyd, Leo, and Cheslie Richardson, of Port Arthur, Texas, and Joe Richardson, of San Bonite, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Ford Hays of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. O. M. Garrett of Port Arthur, Texas; two brothers, James Richardson, Hughson, California, and Willie Richardson; twenty grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included G. N. Sims, H. G. Hassel, W. L. Owens, Dudley Shell, Dan Page, E. J. Buchanan, Houston Smith, and Bryant Sholars.
Named as honorary pallbearers are the friends of the family.
