FemaleJanelle Huggins, 88, of Tamaroa, passed away at 3:30 P.M., Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab.
Janelle had worked in the clerical department at Blue Bell Packing Company. She had also worked part time at the Tamaroa Water Department. Janelle was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tamaroa. She played piano and taught Sunday School at church. She was also a member of the Birthday Club. Janelle had been treasurer for the church and the Tamaroa Cemetery for many years.
She was born November 27, 1932 at Tamaroa, IL, the daughter of James Ralph "Cotton" and Otillia Louise "Tilley" (Ogzewalla) Rice.
She married David Huggins on December 30, 1950 at Tamaroa, IL and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2002.
She is survived by two children - Jon David Huggins and wife Diana of Swanwick and Charlotte Pestka and husband Dennis of Du Bois, two grandchildren - Paige Pestka and Jorge Pino of Ave Marie, FL and Brittany Numi and husband Michael of Du Bois, and two great grandchildren - Jake and Jordyn Numi.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside services will be at 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa with Rev. Raymond Baggott officiating.
Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the cemetery.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial will be in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist church in Tamaroa or the Tamaroa Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
