[La Vera] [Fae] Norton, 68 of Mauston, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, March 7, 1986, of cancer. She was born April 2, 1917 at Weiser, Idaho, the daughter of Wm. Harry and Martha Swisher. She grew up in Wallowa County [Oregon]. [La Vera] married Alvin Marcell Norton February 19, 1940. They ranched in Wallowa County until 1959, when they moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin. [La Vera] worked in a sewing factory until she retired. [Alvin] Marcell Norton drove truck until he retired in [1982]. They then moved to an acreage near Mauston, Wisconsin. They had two sons, Jack Lee and [living]. Jack passed away in 1959 at Enterprise [Oregon]. Survivors include her husband, Alvin Marcell at the family home; a son [living]; three grandchildren; a sister [living]; and a brother, Bob Swisher of Joseph [Oregon].
