Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, for Floyd H. Long, Sr., 68, retired farmer who died suddenly of a heart attack at his home on the Dodson highway Sunday.

Last rites were conducted at the Winnfield First Baptist Church, of which he was a member, by the pastor, Dr. W. L. Holcomb. He was assisted by Rev. Alwin Stokes. Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Floyd H. Long, Sr., of Winnfield; stepmother, Mrs. T. J. Long, Winnfield; two sons, Gillis W., of Washington, D.C., and Lt. Col. Floyd H. Long, Jr., of Petersburg, Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Frank G. Fletcher of Alexandria; two brothers, R. R. and L. C. Long of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. Maud Machen and Mrs. Arvel Carter, Winnfield, and Mrs. Alvin Bowen, Kilgore, Texas; and three grandchildren, Judy and Frank Fletcher, Jr. of Alexandria, and Margaret Long of Petersburg, Va.

Pallbearers were W. E. Traylor, Lloyd Key, Arnet Garris, J. T. Porter, J. W. Long, W. C. Turner, Bowman Wright, and G. P. Long.

Honorary pallbearers were Gov. Earl Long, Senator Russell Long, Cong. A. Leonard Allen, Cecil Earle, Wade Long, J. E. Carter, and L. F. Morrison.
