Hans Olson was a son of Knut and Elna Jonson Olson, Hans and his sister, Anna, came to Utah by ox team in 1865.

re: Elsie Jonson/Nielson-Nilson (var.spelling)
On December 7, 1868, he married Elsie Nielson, the daughter of John and Inga Nilson. She was born November 2, 1842, in Ortofta, Malmohus, Sweden.

Hans and Elsie made their home in Millville and were active in the LDS Church.

On July 31, 1880, Elsie died from complications of childbirth (Martin).

re: Bengta Ravsten-Rafsten (var. spelling)

On January 29, 1880, Hans married Bengta Ravsten as a plural wife. She was born at Saxtrop, Malmo, Sweden, the daughter of Matthias Bengtson Rafsten and Elna Persson. She had come to Utah with her brother.

Hans left Bengta in Millville and moved to Eastern Idaho in 1888.

Bengta died January 12, 1912.

re: Anna Helena Anderson
He settled south of Rexburg in Archer Ward where he married Anna Helena Anderson. Anna was born July 12, 1854, at Habanslan, Sweden, the daughter of J. Berndt Anderson and Anna Hendrickson.

While in Idaho, Hans helped build roads and ditches and was always ready to help when needed. He assisted in the building of two meeting houses.

Children of Hans and Elsie are: Hans Frederick, Elsa Marie (James Albert Barrett), Anna Johanna (James Jardine or Jorden), Hanna Sophia, Emma Charlotte (Ernest Nowlin) and Martin William.

Hans and Bengta had no children.

Hans and Anna had one son, Adolph, and a foster daughter, Verna Jenson (T. Marshall Grover).
