Clinton Henry Brown of Nichols, died at 11:10 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 1971, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 79 years and 19 days.

He was born April 5, 1892, the son of Henry Judson and Lucy Elder Brown. He was a life resident of Nichols and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the IOOF lodge at West Liberty. He married Winifred K. English, October 27, 1956, at Waterloo. She preceded him in death February 15, 1970.

He is survived by one son, Clinton R. Brown of Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Luva TePoel of Fremont, Neb., and Mrs. Marie Kirchner of West Liberty and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Nichols United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Foster officiating. Music was by Mrs. Victor Mills. Casket beearers were Oliver Stewart, Leon Rudman, Gary Costa, Duane Neff, Lawrence Kesser and Edwin Walker.

Burial was in the Nichols Cemetery in charge of the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Service.
