Services for Minnie Carmon Hallmark Herring, 88, of Lockney were held Monday, May 31, 2004 at the Hamlin Church of Christ. Jerry Jackson officiated. Burial was in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Foster-Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Herring died Saturday May 29, 2004 in Lockney.

She was born May 30, 1915 in Hico to the late Jefferson R. and Emma Pearl (Crew) Elliott. She attended Licensed Vocational Nursing School in Stamford and worked in Hamlin as a LVN for many years before retiring in 1986. She was the widow of Bruce Hallmark and Steve Herring. She was a longtime resident of Hamlin where she was a faithful member of the Hamlin Church of Christ. She was a member of the LVN association and moved to Lockney in 2003.

One brother and one sister preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, W.H. and Peggy Hallmark of Lockney; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ron Hall of Lockney; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
