Mrs. Nelms, a retired homemaker/caregiver, was born Oct. 14, 1911, in Webster County.
Survivors include her husband, Dewitt Gordon of Greenwood; and three sisters, Velma Bright of Mathiston, Mazell Stokes of Olive Branch and Rosie Mae St. Laurent of Columbus, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Nelms; four brothers, W.L. "Buddy," Ben, Willie and Jim McCain; four sisters, Eselle Sheppeard, Lillian Vera Poe, Iva Lee Hodges and Lola Weeks.
Services were Nov. 17 at Oliver Funeral Home with burial in Eupora City Cemetery. The Rev. Sam Cobb officiated.
