Services for Mrs. Carrie Mae McClanahan, 83, who died May 24th in Bell City, were held May 26th at 2 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Bill King officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery.
She was born May 10th, 1895 in Decaturville, Tenn., the daughter of the late Richard and Virgie Wyatt. She moved to Caruthersville in 1902.
On March 22nd, 1930 in Caruthersville, she married Dave McClanahan. He preceded her in death Oct. 26th, 1946.
She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Bailey of Luteville; one step-daughter, Mrs. Maxine Wright of Scott City; two sisters, Mrs. Gertie Hepler of Bell City and Mrs. Pearl Blackwell of Arnold; five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
Pallberarers were Carmel Hepler, Mike Hepler, Johnny Arnold, Scott Arnold, Mark Waddell, and Guy Blackwell.
