CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio - Charles Edward Lockhart, 67, of Circleville RD died Monday evening at the Berger Hospital here following a long illness.
He was born in Columbiana County June 13, 1918, a son of the late Franklin Lockhart and Stella Sams Lockhart.
A self-employed truck driver, he served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Flo E. Rose Lockhart, at home; three daughters, Anna Mae Greathouse of Chillicothe, Ohio and Louise Merriman of Wellsville, and Diana Garrett of Circleville; five sons, James Lockhart and Darrell Lockhart of Circleville and John Lockhart, Ronald Lockhart and Charles Huston of East Liverpool; four sisters, Hazel Smith and Opal Claus of Salem, Lenora Sosa of California and Lura Jean Logston of West Virginia; two brothers, Lloyd Lockhart of Kensington and Herbert Lockhart of East Liverpool; and 12 grandchildren.
Services are to be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Wellman Funeral Home with the Rev. Edwin Gardner of the Ohio Street Church of Christ in Christian Union officiating.
Burial is to be in Forest Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 this evening and anytime Thursday.
