Born Circa 1781; Died 1835/1836; Member of "Austin's Old 300"

Prior to his death Philip sold his plantation to Lorenzo De Zavala. this is the property on the north bank of the Houston Ship Channel across from San Jacinto Battleground. Bordered on the east by the San Jacinto River and on the west by Carpenter's Bayou. Now known as De Zavalla's Point. [Mostly commercial property.] Philip Singleton thought enough of Lorenzo that he named his son Philip De Zavala Singleton.
