WASHINGTON TERRACE -- Our precious wife and wonderful mother and grandmother, Doris Ivy Aaron Johnson, 79, died Tuesday, August 21, 2001 at her home, following a long battle with cancer. She was born August 6, 1922 in Logan, a daughter of James and Eva Rumble Wollaston.

On September 17, 1940, Doris married Douglas M. Aaron. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1973. She married Perry B. Johnson on March 15, 1975.

She lived in Logan as a young girl, later moving to Ogden where she graduated from Ogden High School. She lived in Washington Terrace since 1947.

Doris was a member of the Washington Terrace 5th LDS Ward.

Doris enjoyed camping, fishing, trips to Las Vegas, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband, Perry, of Washington Terrace; four sons and two daughters, Fred (Sandy) Aaron, Syracuse; Doug (Jerri) Aaron, Taylor; John (Tracy) Aaron, Morrison, Colo.; Gary (Sharon) Aaron, Evanston, Wyo.; Patti (Lee) Hoecherl, and Margaret Hunt, both of Washington Terrace; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is one sister, Ruby (Glen) Fronk, Farr West.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, and three grandchildren, Tony Benjamin, Michael Howard, and Melissa Sue.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist"s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 2 to 2:45 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist"s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The family expresses special thanks to Kim and Desiree of Vista Care Hospice, and all the others that helped in taking care of our mother.
