Billie Ray Huff, 80, of Grapeland, Texas died July 14, 2009, at Winfield Nursing Center in Crockett. Burial in Dailey (Community) Cemetery was under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home Chapel, Grapeland. He was born Aug. 21, 1928 in Grapeland to Virgil "Brud" Huff and Lorena Brown Huff. Mr. Huff was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Grapeland. He was a farmer and rancher and owner of 6 H Farm and Ranch. He was a board member of the Texas Peanut Producers, a member of the Texas and American Brahman Breeders Association. He also served as a member of the Grapeland School Board. Mr. Huff served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Luna Matthews, and Ann Brown; brothers, Harvey Huff, Gene Huff, and Nolan Huff. Mr. Huff is survived by his wife, Nancy Huff; daughter, Tresa Nichols and husband Lloyd; sons, Mitchell Huff, Steven Huff and wife Rebecca, and Scott Huff and wife Kodi; sister, Ima Ashwood; brother, Charles Huff; 12 grandchildren, Hollie Huff, Julia Nichols, Andria Huff, Paige Huff, Shaver Huff, Zachary Nichols, Chance Huff, Nicholas Huff, Taylor Huff, Landon Huff, Garrett Crane, and Trent Huff; and two great-grandchildren, Hesston Huff, and Krislynn Huff.
