James Ladner, 93, died Sept. 23, at a local nursing home following a long illness. He was born in Easton, June 21, 1881, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Graham) Ladner. Mr. Ladner was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a honorary member of the Abnaki Club. He is survived by one son, P. Fay Ladner, Presque Isle, five grandchildren, Daniel Ladner, Presque Isle, Mrs. Ronald (Ann) Knight, Presque Isle, John Ladner, Beaverton, Mich., Carl Ladner, Midland, Mich., and Mrs. Dale (Annie) Frey, Lathrop Village, Mich.; six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Graves Funeral Home Wednesday, from 7-9 p.m. Prayer service will be held at St. Mary's Church Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Valmont Gilbert, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
