Alta Mae Denstedt, 84, of Bemidji died Tuesday, Oct., 25, 2005 at Neilson Place in Bemidji.

She was born Oct. 8, 1921 to Fred and Mary {George} Phelps in Osage. She attended the Osage Country school.
She married William H. Denstedt, June 14, 1939. They farmed in Osage until the early 1940's when they moved to Park Rapids. They moved to the Twin Cities in the late 1960's. She has lived in Bemidji since 1993. She was a member of the Eagles Club in Park Rapids and Malvik Lutheran Church.

She is survived by three sons, Ken {Darlene} of Brandon, SD, Norman Lee {Esther} of Menahga, and Dean of Detroit Lakes, and three daughters, Lila, {Norbert} Baustian of Luverne, Ella {Donald} Scherber of Maple Grove and Janice {Gary} Panzer of Bemidji, 21 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Louis Raymond, two brothers and six sisters.

Funeral: Friday, Oct 28 at Malvik Lutheran Church in Nary with Rev. Arlen Stensland officiating.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery in Osage Township, Becker County.
