Louis C. Kolb, 51, of Atlanta, died in a Shreveport hospital at 10:20 p.m. December 12, after undergoing surgery for the removal of a tumor. He had been an employee of Carey Salt Company for 20 years, was active in civic affairs, and was a deacon in the Union Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. December 14, 1960 at the Union Baptist Church, Atlanta, with the pastor, Rev. Ray Teal, in charge. Assisting were Rev. Del Durand and Rev. Bernes Selph. Burial was in the Sardis Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were H. A. Cogley, H. E. Parham, M. H. French, T. J. Rive, C. B. Luther, J. M. Thornton, W. C. Jordan, and A. B. Little.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Odelle Durham Kolb and one son, Louis Kolb, Jr.; Atlanta; six brothers, Elmo of New Roads, Stanley of Baton Rouge, Tommy of New Orleans, David of Columbia, Ruben of Arkansas, Billy of Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Worsham of Atlanta and Mrs. Everett McGee of Venezuela, South America.
