Mr. John Dunlap, a highly respected citizen and former resident of Adalia died at his home near that place early Sunday at a advanced age. Mr. Dunlap had been a citizen of this country for a number of years, was a Confederate soldier and a citizen of sterling worth of character. He leaves his wife, two (three) sons and a (five) daughter, also a brother William P. Dunlap of Luling (and sister Sallie Staples of Corpus Christi).December 3, 1903
