Vincent Machek came to the USA in 1891 and became a naturalized citizen in 1896. He married Aloizia Paulin(Pavlin)in 1902. They produced 3 offspring, Vincent Jr., Louis and Magdaline. They moved to DePue, Illinois and in 1905 opened a general store/meat market and built and owned several buildings in DePue. He was a kind and loving person who was more than generous to the townfolk of Depue during the lean years and the family was fondly remembered by the town of DePue, Illinois.
