Willie Cagle, Former Gorman Resident, Buried On Saturday
Final rites for Willie Cagle, 69, were held Saturday, November 20 at 3 p.m. in East Side Church of Christ in Morton, Texas, with T. A. Grice, minister, officiating. Burial was in the Morton Memorial Cemetery.

Cagle, a former resident of Gorman for many years and a Cochran County farmer since 1934, died at 8 p.m. Thursday at Morton Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born in Tennessee November 17, 1896, he was married to Ola Lee Mathis at Winnsboro, Texas December 21, 1916. They lived in the New Hope community and east of Gorman for many years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ben Cagle of Whiteface; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Lewis, Mrs. Geneva Huff and Mrs. Nancy Dewbre, all of Morton; one sister, Mrs. Laura Westmoreland of Gorman; a half-sister, Mrs. Beulah Burch of Arlington; a half-brother, Roma Powell of Arlington; and 10 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ralph Gardner, Erne Palvado, Cleve O'Brien, D. A. Ramsey, Ted Bryant, Percy Dewbre and Handley Kern.
