Rev. James H. Leach was the son of Harvey and Orrena (Vanocken) Leach. He was the husband of Loretta J. (Kruzen) Leach. Loretta died September 19, 1900. Rev. Leach was a Local Preacher/Local Deacon in the Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York) ) Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He served Genesee Forks, Potter Co., Olean Dist., Pennsylvania 1888-1891 - Chrystal, Potter Co., Olean Dist., Pennsylvania 1892. He served during the Civil War.
