Weatherford Democrat, Monday July 25, 1966

A head-on crash about 11:50 pm Saturday a half mile north of Sprintown on FM 51 claimed four lives. Two of the dead were cousins riding in separate cars. Dead are Charles Thomas Floyd, 24 and Harold Gene Leatherwood, 17, both of Springtown; Mrs. Bill Onstead, 20 of McKinney, Leatherwood's first cousin, and Mrs. Onstead's four-month old daughter, Terrey Lynn.

Leatherwood's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Leatherwood of Springtown. Other survivors include a brother, Hubert Wayne Leatherwood of Springtown and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Wolf of Mineral Wells.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2pm at the First Baptist Chruch in Springtown with Rev. Larry Young and Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment was in Springtown Cemetery with White's in Springtown in charge.
