Hugh Jordan was born in Dublin, Ireland, and at the age of 15 years, he with his parents migrated to Canada and resided at London, Ontario for a few years. About the year 1854, the family came to Michigan and settled in Austin township, Sanilac county.
April 17, 1874, Mr. Jordan was united in marriage to Miss Anna Watson. To this union seven children were born, all of whom with their mother, survive him. For the past 30 years, Mr. Jordan and family have lived in this community where they have been well and favorably known.
Years ago, Mr. Jordan united with the M. E. church and was a faithful member of that society. He has been in poor health for several years.
