Martin Vanburen Tomlinson died at his residence at Longacre, West Virginia Tuesday, May 21, 1935. Mr. Tomlinson was injured about two years ago in an automobile accident in which his daughter, Lula was killed. He never fully recovered from his injuries and shock.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Rosanna, and the following children: Mrs. Ethel Hawk of Toledo, Ohio; Walter H Tomlinson of Kittanning; Mrs. Geneva Shick of West Kittanning; Loyd Tomlinson and Mrs. Elmer Bowser, both of Vandergrift; Mrs. Arthur Bills of River Rouge, Michigan; William Tomlinson of Longacre, West Virginia; Mrs. Dennie Claypool of Lackawanna, New york, and Ruth, Donald, and Josephine Tomlinson at home. Also surviving are twenty-three grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Lula Redinger of Auburn, Illinois; Mrs. Maria Knight of Scranton, Kansas; Thomas Tomlinson of Detroit, Michigan; Walter Tomlinson of Scranton, Kansas, and Arthur Tomlinson of Christopher, Illinois.
The body was removed to the home of his daughter Mrs. Geneva Shick of West Kittanning. Funeral services were held in the Church of God, South Bethlehem, Saturday afternoon, May 25, in charge of Rev. G. E. Sample. Burial was made in the New Bethlehem cemetery.
