Obituary

MR. LOUIS T. GEORGE.

Louis T. George, aged 71, prominent planter and extensive landowner of Carden's Bottom, died Tuesday, December 17, 1946, in a Waco, Tex., hospital during an visit to his daughter, Mrs. E. Passmore.

Mr. George's home was at Neely, 8 miles southeast of Dardanelle. He was born in the Mount George community and had spent practically all of his life in Yell County. He was an honorable, upright man and a good citizen, a member of the Church of Christ and the Masonic fraternity. His death is deeply deplored by a wide circle of friends. The body was returned to his home at Neely for burial.

Mr. George is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pearl Gaydon George; one daughter, Mrs. Passmore; six brothers, J. F. George, of, Dardanelle, Jim, of, California, Milton, of Ola, and Elmer and Bill George, all of Texas; and four sisters, Mrs. Walter Eidson, of Booneville, Mrs. B. C. McKenzie, of Dardanelle, Mrs. Bettie King, of Holdenville, Okla., and Mrs. Sam Bishop, of Port Arthur, Tex.
