Daughter of Patriot Samuel JR Pickerill and Mary Lowe, both from Maryland.
Jane's place of birth was said to be Kentucky however Kentucky did not become a State until 1792, nine years after her birth. Before that Kentucky was part of Virginia.
Jane and Phillip Harbaugh were married March 24, 1804 in Mason County Kentucky.
They were the parents of 12 known children.
