Myrtle Rose Jensen Chapman was born September 18, 1915 in Goshen, Utah to Andrew and Florence Race Jensen. She was the youngest of five children. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She married Benjamin LeRoy Chapman on November 27, 1934 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1942. He passed away in 1997.
Rose and Ben lived in Utah until 1939 at which time they moved to California. They lived in Hawthorne, La Quinta, Pomona and Calimesa. After Ben passed away Rose moved to Lancaster and then in 2008 she moved to Rancho Palos Verdes.

She is survived by her three children: Merrill and his wife Laureen of Lynn Haven, FL; Myrna and her husband Richard Graff of Lancaster, CA, currently serving as missionaries in Guatemala City, Guatemala; and Linda and her husband Steve Denning of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA with whom she resided; seventeen grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
