Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Sardis Baptist Church, Revs. Alton Thompson, Danny Keyes, and W. R. Gage officiating. Burial was in Brown Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Survivors include one son, Benny Brady of Baton Rouge, one daughter, Mrs. Lou Ann Johnson of Winnfield; two brothers, Frank Barton and Rev. E. B. Barton, both of Winnfield; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Mae Russ of Winnfield, Mrs. Ophelia Simmons, Mrs. Irene Hughes, and Mrs. Johnnie Cathey, all of Shreveport, and five grandchildren.
