G. R. Blocker, 46 years old, died at 7:10 o'clock Friday morning at his home, 604 Solodad street, after an illness extending over a year. Mr. Blocker had been in the employ of the San Antonio Water Supply Company for a number of years. He was past noble grand of Lodge No. 11, I.O.O.F.
Surviving is his widow, a daughter, Miss Marie Blocker; his mother, Mrs. Mary Rhea, and a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Rhea, of Waco; a brother, John Blocker of this city and a cousin, C. N. Alexander of Fort Worth.
The funeral will be held at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon from his home. Services will be conducted at the residence by Rev. W. F. Packard and at the grave by the Odd Fellows' Lodge. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Rest.
The active pallbearers will be M. A. Frank, L. K. Lambert, J. P. Newcomb, L. U. Lipscomb, J. M. Baugh, E. M. Hawk; honorary, H. E. Ellsworth, J. H. Holmgreen, J. L. Dibrell, Albert Meyer, Judge John H. Clark and G. E. Meliff.
