She was a member of Hanover Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and was a past member of Esther Circle and Neighborly Gals Extension Club.
Mrs. Schmidt was preceded in death by her parents, and infant brother & infant sister; son, Keith and a great grandson, Noah.
