Glen was a charter member of both the Kankakee Valley and Aroma Park Boat Clubs. His first love the last thirty years was flying model airplanes and he was active in the Kankakee Valley Model Airplane Club. He was also active in the Old Time Farm Show, Civil Defense, Volunteer Deputy Sheriff, and the RV club Kankakee Valley Wanderers. He enjoyed repairing anything mechanical from vacuum cleaners to antique hit-and-miss engines. His wife Lydia davis, whom he married April 9, 1932, died February 6, 2006. He was also preceded by two sisters Mildred Deemy in 2000, and Leona Shreffler in 2005.
