Sally was the daughter of Elaine Virginia SAMS and Fredrick "Fred" MEDUNA. She married Kim HENDRIX in Manistee, and later married _______ HICKS.

Sally was the mother of four (4) children:

Lauren HENDRIX BURTTS
Kevin HENDRIX
Justin HICKS
Bethany HICKS

She was a graduate of Manistee Catholic Central, Class of 1975. She then attended Ferris State University and was a graduate of the Class of 1977 where she earned her associate degree in the dental assistance program. She later went on to further her education at Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

Sally's primary importance in life was her family. She loved spending time with her children. She enjoyed arts and crafts, had a passion for music and was an avid dog lover. She was a very involved and active member in her church ministries; especially with childrens ministry and choir. Sally was a member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians.

A memorial service was held 11 July 2009, at the Herbert Funeral Home in Manistee. Final interment will take place at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Manistee.
