OBIT: Gladys M Watkins 84, of Clarks Hill, died Friday, March 10, 2006 at Home Hospital. Born Sept 1, 1921 in Jackson, Michigan, to the late James and Eva Thompson Graham, she had lived in the Lafayette area since 1945. She worked as a housekeeper at the Days Inn, Holiday Inn and Best Western, She had also worked at Brown Rubber. She enjoyed watching wrestling and soap operas. Surviving are a son, James Robert "Bob" (wife: Jackie) Heath of Arkansas, and a daughter JoAnn "Patty" (husband" William) Jackson of Clarks Hill. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Sunday March 12, 2006 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral services 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, Interment St Boniface Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, She was preceded in death by a son, Bud Watkins, infant twins Carl and Carol Heath and infant daughter Eva Watkins, 3 sisters, a brother and a grandson. Surviving are 13 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
