90, of Springfield died at 2:17 p.m. Monday at Doctors Hospital.

He was born Jan. 30, 1901, in Olsberg, Kan., the son of Fred and Hannah McLean Marble. He married Helen E. Armstrong in 1966. Preceding him in death was one brother, Fred Marble.

A resident of Springfield most of his life, Mr. Marble retired from the State Journal-Register after 44 years of service as a linotype machinist.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. James (Phyllis) Craig of Dearborn, Mich., and Mrs. Roger (Carol) Carey of Marysville, Calif.; four grandsons; two step-grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Staab Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
