The Greenville News: 10-6-2006. Greenville - Paul Thomas Babb, 88, of 600 Sulphur Springs Rd., Greenville, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at Oakmont West Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born in Inman, S.C. on Saturday, May 11, 1918, he was the son of the late Robert Hunter and Emma (Watson) Babb. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and received the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. He is survived by three daughters, Nancy Babb Richardson of Roebuck, Mary Babb Bishop of Roebuck and Evelyn Martin of Corpus Christi, Texas; one son, Tommy Babb of Greer; and one sister, Lucille Clayton of Campobello. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by three sisters; 11 brothers; and one grandson. Graveside funeral services will be held at Holly Springs Baptist Church, Inman, SC at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2006, with Rev. Tim Clark officiating. The family is at their respective homes, and will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Seawright Funeral Home Inman, S.C.
