George Sattler Funeral Tuesday; Died Saturday. Funeral rites for George Sattler,78, 2540 E. Main street, who died Saturday night at Mercy hospital, will be Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Jackley funeral home. Rev. Gene Merrel of Indianapolis will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the Jackley funeral home. Born Oct. 22, 1880 in Cedar Grove, he was the son of Joseph and Mary Sattler. He was twice married, first to Bessie Webb, who is deceased. Five children were born to this union, all living. He later married Flossie Carrier of Muncie, who survives. He was a member of the Lutheran church and was a tinplate worker for many years. He was retired from the Fettig Canning Corp. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Deaf. Surviving with the widow are two sons, Earl and Carl of Elwood; three daughters, Mrs. Mable Edgell; and Mrs. Ruth Corbett of Elwood; and Mrs. Betty Jarrett of Des Moines, Iowa, a sister, Mrs. Mary Dietz, Lawrenceburg, two brother, Joseph, of South Bend and Phillip of Carthage, four step children, Mrs. Gates of Muncie and Mrs. Helen Wyart of Fox Lake, Wis., and Lee Workman of Muncie.
