Emiline was the daughter of Charles & Rebecca Hopper.
She and her first husband, Edmun Cook, came out to CA shortly before1847 (where her first child, Elizabeth, was born). Evidently Edmun Cook died and she married William "Martin" Reed after Oct 1850 and before 1852 when her 2nd child is born. Nancy and Martin Reed had 6 children, but he died in 1865 in Napa Co. CA leaving her with the youngest child just a year old. After that she met and married John Milton Spriggs, (who had lost his wife in 1865 also) on 6 Sep 1867 in Napa Co. CA. They had two daughters, Lillie & Etta S. Mr. Spriggs died on Jan 10, 1891 while visiting family in Sherman Co., Oregon. His burial is unknown.
