Rosa Nellie Rindlisbacher was born August 16, 1894, in Providence, Utah, the daughter of Christian and Anna Barfuss Rindlisbacher. She moved with her family to Millville in 1906, and later served a mission to the Southern States.

On June 27, 1918, Rosa and Verl Anderson were married. Verl was the eldest son of Henry and Martha Chandler Anderson. He spent his childhood and early school days in Millville. He learned to farm at the side of his father. He served an LDS mission in the Central States, and he was a veteran of World War I. He had a deep love for his country and instilled that love in his children.

Verl and Nellie made their home in Garland, Utah, where Verl took pride in raising good animals and good crops. Produce from his outstand¬ing garden was always shared with others. Family gatherings were his great delight.

Nellie was a happy, optimistic person who sang at her work. She was proud of her Swiss heritage and her ancestors. She enjoyed doing temple work and spent much time there in later years.

They are the parents of: Grant, Glenn, Wilma, Richard, Elaine, Don, and Carol.
