David Crow was born in Wythe Co, Virginia to Thomas and Susannah Brittain Crow. He moved with his family to Ross Co, Ohio in late 1805, which became Pickaway OH in 1810. He was in the War of 1812 and was injured in the foot. Family lore says he was a blacksmith. In Sept. 1814 he married Mary Connelly in Pickaway Co. where they raised their family of 10 children. He died of "fever" in Pickaway Co. on Oct. 31st,1860 and was buried in Salem Cemetery where his parents, his wife, 5 of his children and one grandson are buried.
